Biography

Fred is an economist and interdisciplinary researcher with over 10 years of experience in social and economic development research, training, and project management. His research focuses on applying economic tools to promote environmental and social sustainability, evaluate health interventions, and inform policy analysis.

He holds a BA in Development Economics (Hons.) from Makerere University, an MA in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam, and an MSc by Research in Sustainable African Futures from the University of Edinburgh. He is currently a WESAF PhD Fellow in Economics, jointly facilitated by the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and the University of Edinburgh, UK.

Fred is an Assistant Lecturer at the School of Economics, Makerere University, Kampala, and also serves as Data Manager at the Environment for Development Initiative (EfD-MAK Centre).
