Since our establishment in 2011, the School of Business has served as the flagship Business School in Uganda, playing an essential role in uplifting the economy of Uganda and the well-being of its citizens. Each year, the School of Business graduates more than 2,000 exceptional men and women who are the business leaders, executives and entrepreneurs of the future.
The School of Business has continuously improved and expanded its offerings for students and alumni. Most recently, the School opened the Makerere University Entrepreneurship and Innovations Centre (MakIC) an initiative partly aimed at helping students and our clients develop their opportunities and post-graduate employment.
Additionally, the Executive and Professionals Programs Centre gives opportunities for short term training in business and professional careers in ACCA, CPA, CIMA CIPS ICSA CFA. We have also made it a priority to provide our faculty with the resources needed to further research in every aspect of the business world and to produce industry leaders for our global work environment. We have a highly trained faculty most of whom have PhDs, committed and diligent.
We partner with other Universities, private sector corporate enterprises in Africa and globally to ensure we are on the cutting edge of business education and training. We also partner with professional bodies such as ACCA, CPA, CFA and accountancy, finance, investment and business advisory and consultancy bodies. This allows us to improve our students’ skills in communication, leadership, teamwork, decision making and the technical aspects of their respective disciplines. Our focus is producing critical pool of future business leaders. All our academic programmes are accredited by the National Council for Higher Education of Uganda, and by professional bodies in the respective disciplines.
