I am pleased to inform you that the Department of Population Studies, Makerere University, the University of Groningen (Netherlands), The Federal German Institute for Population Studies and the Max Planck Institute of Demographic Research (Germany) have organized a workshop on ageing and health of older persons in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), scheduled for February 20-22, 2023, at the Imperial Resort Beach Hotel in Entebbe, Uganda (attached workshop programme).
This workshop brings together international and national participants from policy, programmes, academia, and some UN agencies including the UN DESA and the WHO. It is funded by the Volkswagen Foundation of Germany. There will be presentations of research and programmes on ageing and health in SSA (see call for abstracts attached).
