Makerere University is pleased to be co-hosting with the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development the Public Investment Management (PIM) Open Day and Launch of the PIM Centre of Excellence.

Theme: “Towards Raising Returns on Public Investments”

Date and Time: Thursday 10th March, 2022 starting at 9:00AM EAT.

Objectives of the Open Day:

1. Raising knowledge to the wider public audience about the importance of strengthening public investment management across the entire project cycle, while learning from reforms that have been undertaken in-country and by practitioners elsewhere;
2. Sensitising stakeholders from across government about the interventions and how they could strengthen public investment management in the country; and
3. Demonstrating the value for money and results that have been realised out of the interventions.
